In the fall of 2014, the town of Okotoks experienced nation-wide fame when a tourism campaign for the community came up with the catchphrase, “There are a number of things to do in Okotoks.” In spite of the painfully anti-climactic slogan, it turns out that Okotoks does have vibrant cultural and business communities with plenty to do both personally and professionally. Founded as a trading post in 1874, the town has a long association with Alberta commerce. Today, Okotoks boasts strong population growth, good tax rates and, of course, easy access to Calgary.
