When you think about Cochrane, the agricultural industry probably comes to mind. Indeed, the community was founded and named after a rancher in 1881. But this once-small farming community has experienced massive population growth over the past five years – 49 per cent – making Cochrane one of the fastest-growing communities in Canada. This growth is due in part to a diverse and healthy business environment for a variety of sectors. A recent article in the Globe and Mail dubbed the town an “unlikely tech hotbed.”
